Sarah took a well deserved 1st place victory,
after battling for position throughout the whole race with her second
place rival, she took the lead on the final climb towards the finish
line. Well Done Sarah!
Merida Brass Monkey Enduro 2009 / 2010
Round 3
I could not make the event, however, once again Sue showed
up the rest of the team with a 4th, giving her a 3rd Place overall
in the series. Well done Sue! Reports suggest that it was the best
course of the three.
Round 2
Not so wet, more cold and exposed course this time, still good fun,
another impressive result from Sue coming in 3rd. Me - once again,
managed to cross the line just after the 2 hour mark.
Round 1
Another wet, wet, wet race! but Sue Frazer stuck in there to bring
in a very impressive 3rd place in the Ladies. Jules and I? well
Jules entered the 4 hours, and completed 3 laps in 2hours 14 to
come in 64th? (he spent the other 1 hour 46min drinking coffee under
one of the tents :-) ... Me - 2 hour race (Over 40's of course...)
2hours and 20 Sec, 2 laps, 44th place - followed by a period of
time with a coffee under a tent!
Bristol Bike Fest
Sarah Whelan won the rather unkind category of the 12 hours Endurance
in the Old Gits Women's Race, well don Sarah!
TransWales 2008
Julian and I competed in this mad race - approx 350 miles and 50,000ft
of climbing all in 7 days. Read more about it here www.mtbtransuk.co.uk
Some pictures are up in the gallery. To say it was wet is an understatement,
the riding and view (when the rain lifted, were truly stunning,
just a shame there were "organisational" issues with the
whole event. So we've done it, but never again!
